Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a positive attitude, teamwork capabilities, and an appreciation for diverse patient populations.

Unit Information

The position is located in a Telemetry/Medical Surgical unit with a total of 60 beds. This unit serves primarily an adult patient population, with a small number of pediatric cases (approximately 1-5 per year).

Shift Details

• Shift Type: Night Shift (12 hours)
• Guaranteed Hours: 48 hours per week
• Schedule: Every other weekend

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in a telemetry and medical-surgical setting.
• Effectively manage patient needs and communicate with interdisciplinary team members.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed while monitoring patient responses.
• Ensure compliance with established protocols and standards of care.
• Participate in patient education and discharge planning.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required.
• BLS Certification is required.
• Positive mindset with a commitment to teamwork and patient care.

• Fingernail Policy: Artificial nails are prohibited in all departments providing patient care.
• Candidates will undergo a skills assessment during orientation and must achieve a passing score.
• Float Requirement: Yes, to acute rehab unit and geriatric psych unit as needed.
