Unit Information

Welcome to the 3 Tower Surgical/Telemetry Unit, also known as 613. This unit provides a supportive and engaging environment for both patients and healthcare professionals.

• Number of Beds: 37
• Staffing: 12 healthcare professionals
• Day Shift: 8 RNs, 3 Patient Care Techs, 1 Unit Clerk
• Night Shift: 8 RNs, 3 Patient Care Techs
• Patient Ratios: 1:6 general patients; 1:4 for Heart Cath patients
• Equipment: PCA Pumps, IV Pumps, Chest Tubes
• EMR System: Meditech

Job Description

This position requires a skilled Telemetry Registered Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong telemetry experience and be able to handle critical thinking situations effectively.

Qualifications

Required Skills:

• A minimum of 1 year of current telemetry experience in a hospital setting
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications

Preferred Skills:

• Prior experience in a travel nursing role at large teaching facilities
• Familiarity with the Meditech EMR system

Typical Procedures

• Central line placement
• Medication administration via drips
• Heart catheter recovery
• Bubble studies
