Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team. This position involves working with a diverse patient population, primarily acute cardiac patients, including those recovering from invasive cardiac procedures and managing acute illnesses.

Shift Details

• Shift Times: 1900 – 0730
• Weekend Requirement: Every third weekend (Saturday and Sunday)
• Holiday Requirement: Required

Unit Description

The nursing units consist of 59 beds, with staffing primarily for 45 beds. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:5, and each unit has 1-2 patient care technicians depending on patient census and acuity.

Patient Population

• Acute cardiac patients
• Post-invasive cardiac procedures
• Chest pain management
• Acute illnesses such as ETOH withdrawal, COVID-19, sepsis, and medication titration

Equipment Used

• GE heart monitors
• Masimo vital sign machines
• Stryker beds

Qualifications

• Required:
  • Registered Nurse license in Kansas (KS RN)
  • ACLS and BLS certifications
  • 1 year of RN hospital experience
  • Experience with TR band is required
• Preferred:
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree
