Orthopedic Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Description

We are currently seeking a dedicated Orthopedic Registered Nurse (RN) to join our healthcare team. This role involves providing high-quality nursing care in a neuro/ortho unit with a focus on patient-centered outcomes.

Unit Information

The unit consists of 25 beds and is staffed by over 40 professionals. Here are some key details:

• Patient Ratios: 6:1, occasionally 5:1
• Type of Equipment: Baxter IV Pumps, KCI wound vacs, SCD pumps
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR) System: Meditech

Typical Hiring Profile

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• Must Have:
  • BLS certification
  • ACLS certification
• Preferred:
  • Experience with Meditech
  • Telemetry experience

Typical Procedures Performed

In addition to general medical/surgical competencies, candidates are expected to demonstrate proficiency in:

• Managing chest tubes
• Administering non-titrated Cardizem and Amiodarone drips
• Managing weight-based heparin drips

Dress Code

Staff is required to adhere to the following dress code:

• Scrub Color: Royal blue
