Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking experienced Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our dynamic team across various Telemetry and Medical-Surgical units. Nurses will have the opportunity to float between units, providing essential care in a highly collaborative and diverse environment.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor and interpret patient conditions, including EKG readings.
• Provide care for a range of patients, including post-operative cases and those with cardiac conditions.
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Participate in the orientation and training of new nursing staff.
• Adhere to all hospital policies and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
• NIHSS certification is preferred for Neuro units.
• Ability to titrate cardiac drips and assess dysrhythmias is essential.
• Experience in Telemetry, Medical-Surgical, or similar clinical settings is preferred.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Unit Information

Telemetry Units

• CV Tele B3A
  • 32 beds, 1:3-4 nurse-to-patient ratio.
  • Common diagnoses include post-cath lab patients and general telemetry.
• A3 Neuro
  • 28 beds, 1:3-4 nurse-to-patient ratio.
  • Focus on neuro post-surgical care and management of CVAs.

Medical-Surgical Units

• C5 MedSurg
  • 32 beds, specializing in orthopedic, surgical, and oncology patients.
• B2C MedSurg
  • 29 beds with a focus on general medical-surgical and telemetry patients.

Additional Information

• Full-time positions available with rotating weekend requirements.
• 12-hour shifts from 7 AM to 7 PM.
• Extensive floor-specific orientation provided.
• Floating between units is required as necessary.
• Must pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to signing the contract.
• Sim Lab assessment will occur on the first day of orientation.
• This position may involve moving between multiple locations within the region.
