Job Description:

The Registered Nurse in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU) will provide specialized care for patients with critical health conditions, focusing on post-operative recovery for cardiac procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Provide care for post open heart patients for a minimum of 1 to 2 days post-op.
• Utilize Impella heart pump and perform CRRT when required.
• Respond to rapid response calls and code blue situations with the critical care team.
• Perform procedures such as intubations, CRRT, and hemodynamic monitoring.

Requirements:

• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required; CCRN is a plus.
• Cardiac critical care experience is essential.
• Ability to manage standard critical care equipment, including advanced monitoring systems like Hemosphere.
