Pulmonary Thoracic Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Pulmonary Thoracic Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team for a 13-week contract. The position involves working with intermediate medical patients, as well as those at high risk for respiratory and cardiac conditions, including patients recovering from thoracic and hepatobiliary surgeries.

Schedule

The schedule for this position varies, with shifts primarily during nighttime hours from 7 PM to 7 AM.

Holiday Requirements

Candidates must be available to work during holiday periods and are required to work a minimum of:

• Two major holidays: Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year’s Day
• One minor holiday: The Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, New Year’s Eve

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in pulmonary/thoracic nursing
• Current AHA BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• Current AHA ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
• NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification is preferred

Patient Population

The RN will be responsible for caring for a variety of patient populations, including patients on respiratory assistance such as RA, BIPAP, or Optiflow.
