Registered Nurse (RN)
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for our Skilled Nursing units. The ideal candidate must have an education verification, a current Wisconsin License, and CPR certification. The position may require floating to other inpatient units based on patient census.
Shift Information:
- 0.9 FTE day shift: 0630 – 1900
- Every third weekend and participation in holiday rotation required
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Utilize the nursing process and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to care for patients.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, policies, procedures, and state laws.
- Document according to standards of care.
- Develop, initiate, and execute individualized patient care plans as prescribed by a physician and/or hospital policy, including patient and family education.
- Participate in performance improvement activities within the department or unit, which may include shared governance.
- Provide clinical expertise and guidance to other units/departments in support of the patient’s longitudinal plan of care.
- Employ critical thinking with respect to patient safety and experience, escalating concerns as necessary through the proper chain of command.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of less than 1 year of nursing experience
- BLS/BCLS certification required
