Job Description:

Supports and promotes the mission and values of Covenant Health Ministry. Renders professional nursing care to patients within an assigned unit of the hospital and carries out orders placed by the provider responsible for the patient’s medical care. Provides comprehensive clinical documentation including care plans each shift. Seeks feedback regarding practice and takes actions as appropriate.

Responsibilities:

• Communicates patient information appropriate for continuity and safe care through bedside shift report, multidisciplinary rounds, and hourly rounding (AIDET).
• Compliant in achieving unit-specific competencies and requirements.
• Completes all net learning modules within the timeframe identified.
• Promotes a positive culture/atmosphere within the department each shift.
• Provides a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, and staff by following established procedures and protocols.
• Identifies and assists in the correction of patient care safety issues.
• Collaborates in planning, supervising, and instructing other nurses and assistants.
• Effectively delegates aspects of care and unit activities to other nursing personnel.

Requirements:

• Current New Hampshire RN license required.
• Basic Life Support certification required.
• Basic Dysrhythmia training preferred or obtained prior to the completion of orientation.
• Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) training preferred or obtained prior to the completion of orientation.
• Graduate of an approved Nursing program preferred.
