Job Description:

Renders professional nursing care to patients within an assigned unit of the hospital and carries out orders placed by provider responsible for the patient’s medical care. Provides comprehensive clinical documentation including care plans each shift. Seeks feedback regarding practice and takes actions as appropriate. Communicates patient information appropriate for continuity and safe care through Bedside shift report, Multidisciplinary rounds, and Hourly Rounding (AIDET). Compliant in achieving unit specific competencies and requirements. Helps to promote a culture of well-being (e.g., decreasing alarm fatigue). Provides a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, and staff by following established procedures and protocols. Identifies and assists in correction of patient care safety issues.

Responsibilities:

• Supports and promotes the mission and values of Covenant Health Ministry.
• Participates in Daily unit-based safety Huddles.
• Develops and implements performance goals based on self-assessment and performance feedback.
• Serves as preceptor for new nurses.

Requirements:

• Current New Hampshire RN license required.
• Basic Life Support certification required.
• Graduate of an approved Nursing program preferred.
• Basic Dysrhythmia preferred or obtained prior to completion of orientation.
• Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) training preferred or obtained prior to completion of orientation.
