Registered Nurse (RN) – Rehabilitation

Unit Information

Join a dynamic inpatient rehabilitation unit with the following details:

• Number of Beds: 24
• Patient Ratios: 1:6
• Type of Equipment: Hill-Rom beds
• Electronic Medical Records: Expanse

Staffing Overview

The unit operates with the following staffing model:

• Day Shift: 1 charge RN, 4 RNs, 2 Patient Care Technicians (PCTs), Occupational Therapy (OT), Physical Therapy (PT), Speech Therapy (ST), and a Case Manager
• Night Shift: 1 charge RN, 4 RNs, 2 PCTs

Qualifications

Ideal candidates should possess the following qualifications:

• Required Skills:
  • One year of inpatient or rehabilitation experience
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Completion of cardiac arrhythmia review test
• Preferred Skills:
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
  • Experience in Medical/Telemetry or higher acuity settings

Responsibilities

The role involves performing various therapeutic procedures and patient care, including:

• Providing Physical Therapy (PT), Occupational Therapy (OT), and Speech Therapy (ST) totaling 3 hours per day
• Administering dialysis, blood transfusions, IV push medications, and utilizing remote telemetry monitoring
• Ensuring patient safety and promoting independence within a therapeutic environment

Work Environment

Ideal candidates will collaborate effectively with therapy departments and create a safe, encouraging atmosphere for patient independence.

Certifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Floating Areas

Registered Nurses may be required to float to Med/Surg or Med/Surg telemetry units as needed.

Scrub color: Royal Blue

Unit Policies

The unit adheres to established guidelines, including fall precautions, infection control measures, isolation protocols, and care experience standards.

Weekend Requirements

Candidates should be prepared to work every other weekend, with no on-call commitments.
