Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse to join our interdisciplinary team in acute rehabilitation and physical medicine. This position involves caring for a diverse range of patients, including those recovering from stroke, brain injury, spinal cord injury, trauma, orthopedic issues, neuro-related conditions, oncology, pediatric care, solid organ transplants, heart failure, and other medically complex cases.

Schedule

This role requires a commitment of 36 or 48 hours per week, with Day, Evening, and Night shifts available. Shifts may be 8 or 12 hours long, including holidays and weekends as per unit policy.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical care and emotional support to patients and their families as they work towards regaining independence.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop and implement effective care plans tailored to patient needs.
• Monitor patient conditions and respond proactively to any changes in health status.
• Educate patients and their families on health management and rehabilitation techniques.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of Med-Surg experience is required.
• Must hold a valid New York State RN license.
• AHA BLS certification is required.
• Prior telemetry experience is essential.
• Recent pediatric experience is preferred.
