Experience Requirements

• Minimum Years of Experience: 3 years
• 1-3 years of previous nursing experience working with children and adolescents preferred

Certifications

• Current Maine RN license required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required
• Basic Dysrhythmia training preferred or must be obtained before completion of orientation
• Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) training preferred or must be obtained before completion of orientation

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) is a vital member of the Patient Care Team responsible for delivering both direct and indirect patient care through the nursing process across all areas of the unit. The RN will delegate appropriate interventions to others, supervise as necessary, assist in maintaining a safe environment for effective nursing care, provide education to patients and families, and collaborate with other health professionals in the planning and management of healthcare.
