Job Description:

Active Blue Card CPI required for submission. Certifications required include BLS and CPI. The unit includes ADOL, Serenity, ITU, SRAD, and VINE with varying acuity levels. Experience with Meditech documentation is necessary.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients’ mental health status, including recognizing signs of psychiatric disorders, substance use, and behavioral problems.
• Develop individualized care plans based on the needs of patients with mental health and behavioral issues, setting goals, implementing interventions, and evaluating outcomes.
• Administer psychiatric medications and monitor for side effects or adverse reactions.
• Provide immediate short-term support to patients in crisis, using techniques such as de-escalation and appropriate medication management.
• Monitor patients for physical and psychological symptoms, including vital signs, mental status changes, and medication effects.

Requirements:

• Ability to assess patients’ mental health status and develop care plans.
• Experience with crisis intervention and medication management.
• Certification in BLS and CPI.
