Job Description:

The PedsED offers family-centered care to those under the age of 19, seeking care for urgent and emergent issues at a Level 1 pediatric trauma and burn center. The unit is comprised of 18 general care beds, 1 critical care bed, 4 urgent care beds, and the use of the 7-bed trauma bay which we share with the adult ED. The tertiary care offered at Golisano Children’s Hospital has a complex case mix.

Responsibilities:

• Provide family-centered care in a fast-paced and challenging environment.
• Function effectively in a pediatric trauma and burn center.

Requirements:

• 2 years of Pediatric ED experience required
• NY RN license
• BLS certification from AHA required
• PALS certification from AHA required
• ACLS certification from AHA required
• Burn care experience highly desirable
• NIHSS
• TNCC, ATCN, or ABLS preferred
