• Patient Ratios: 4:1 (5:1 during surge)
• Type of Equipment: GE monitors
• EMR: Meditech

Position Overview

This role involves providing high-quality nursing care in a Pediatric Emergency Department setting. The nursing staff is committed to delivering exceptional patient care through collaboration and dedicated service.

Qualifications

• Required:
  • Minimum 1 year of current Pediatric Emergency Department RN experience
  • Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH, PALS, TNCC, and ENPC (PALS is accepted in lieu of ENPC)
• Preferred:
  • CEN (Certified Emergency Nurse)
  • CPEN (Certified Pediatric Emergency Nurse)
  • US IV competency

Responsibilities

The following procedures are commonly performed in this role:

• Port access and IV start
• Venipuncture and nasal wash
• Point of care testing (glucometer)
• EKG and Foley placement
