Pediatric Registered Nurse (RN)
Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Pediatric Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. This role involves providing high-quality care to pediatric patients, including those in oncology. The position requires strong clinical skills and a compassionate approach to nursing.
Unit Information
The Pediatric and Oncology unit includes:
- Total Beds: 19 (13 pediatric beds, 6 oncology beds)
- Staffing: 22 total (10 pediatric nurses, 12 oncology nurses)
- Patient Ratios: 1:3, 1:4, 1:5
- Type of Equipment: Alaris pumps
- EMR System: Cerner
Key Responsibilities
As a Pediatric Registered Nurse (RN), your responsibilities will include:
- Providing direct nursing care and support for pediatric patients and their families
- Administering medications and therapies as prescribed
- Maintaining accurate and timely patient records
- Collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Participating in continuous education to enhance clinical skills
Qualifications
Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
- Required Certifications: PALS, BLS; APHON certification for oncology preferred
- Minimum Experience: 2 years in a pediatric healthcare setting
- Preferred Experience: Pediatric oncology experience

Schedule Requirements
The position requires commitment to weekend shifts, with a total of 6 weekend shifts required, including 2 on Saturdays.
Dress Code
Scrub attire should consist of:
- All navy blue, all white, or a combination of navy and white for RNs
- Galaxy blue (not navy) for CNAs
- Purple for sitters without CNA certification
- Medium gray or pewter for respiratory therapists
- Sage green for LPNs
Tobacco Policy
Tobacco use is prohibited in all buildings and properties associated with this organization, including designated parking areas.
Floating Requirements
Flexibility to float to PICU and NICU as needed.
