Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team in a 16-bed Stroke & Brain unit that operates with a patient ratio of 4:1. This role requires dedication, expertise, and a passion for providing high-quality patient care.

Shift and Scheduling

• Night shifts: 7 PM – 7 AM
• 48 hours guaranteed preferred
• 3 shifts per week, with 3-4 weekend shifts required

Unit Specifics

• Number of Beds: 16
• Equipment: Welch Allyn Vital Signs Machines, Hoyer Lift, Sarah Steady Lift, Telemetry, Bladder Scanner, Doppler
• Documentation System: Meditech
• Unit Staffing Support: Availability of unit secretaries and techs

Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse will be responsible for administering medications, monitoring patient vital signs, and managing patient care plans. This role includes caring for patients requiring telemetry and stroke management.

Qualifications

• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Must hold NIHSS certification
• Experience in cardiac drips, telemetry, and neurology
• Basic dysrhythmia skills required
