Job Description:

The RN in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) on the 4th Floor East Wing is responsible for providing comprehensive care, primarily for adult patients with various health conditions. The nurse works collaboratively with supportive staff, including educators, care managers, and social workers.

Responsibilities:

• Administer medications and manage patient care utilizing PCA pumps, cardizem, insulin, and other treatments as needed.
• Conduct hourly rounding and ensure responsiveness to patient needs.
• Float to MS areas as required, based on the unit’s highest need.

Requirements:

• Valid RN license and driver’s license for verification of residency.
• Certifications in ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS.
• Competency in telemetry and IV pump management (Alaris).
• Standard compliance with facility policies, including prohibition on artificial nails.
