Job Description:

Provide specialized nursing care in a Progressive Care Unit environment, catering to patients requiring intermediate level care. The role demands close monitoring of patients’ conditions and administration of appropriate treatments.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care and observe patients’ health.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by a physician.
• Coordinate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Document patient data and report any changes in condition.
• Float to ICU and various inpatient units as needed.

Requirements:

• KS RN or Compact RN License along with BLS, ACLS, & NIH certifications.
• A minimum of 2 years of recent Critical Care/ICU or Emergency Department experience.
• Experience with BiPAP, chest tubes, PICC lines, and conducting own codes.
• Experience with Open-heart Day 2 or Day 3 procedures and pacer wires.
• Capable of working without a vascular access team and calling on own consults.
