Job Description:

Seeking a Registered Nurse for the Progressive Care Unit with experience in critical care settings to provide high-quality patient care for a diverse population.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and monitor patients with complex medical conditions in the Progressive Care Unit.
• Perform assessments, administer medications, and provide post-operative care including chest tube and BiPAP management.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Float to ICU and various inpatient units as needed based on experience.
• Participate in emergency response situations and manage patient codes independently.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of recent Critical Care/ICU or Emergency Department experience.
• Proficient with BiPAP, chest tubes, PICC lines, and independent lab work.
• Experience with open-heart Day 2 or Day 3, including managing pacer wires.
• Current KS RN or Compact RN License along with BLS, ACLS, & NIH certifications.
• Ability to work every other weekend as required and attend specific orientation sessions.
