Job Description:

Progressive Care Unit role involving primary nursing care, telemetry monitoring, telemetry strip reading, and fingerstick blood sugar on a 15-bed unit consisting of 3 step down ICU and 12 telemetry beds.

Responsibilities:

• Telemetry monitoring and strip reading
• Primary nursing care
• Utilize Meditech charting, Pyxis for medications, BIPAP, and continuous cardiac monitoring
• Floating to all acute units in house, including Medical, Surgical/Peds, ICU, and ER

Requirements:

• At least 1 year of hospital acute care experience within the last year
• Hawaii RN License required by start of assignment
• ACLS preferred, current PALS preferred, NIHSS certification preferred
