Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will provide exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on critical care and telemetry. This position requires a strong clinical background and the ability to manage various patient conditions effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients with conditions such as CHF, respiratory distress, ACS, A-fib RVR, DM, and CVA overflow.
• Administer blood products and manage bipap therapy.
• Monitor and maintain femoral arterial sheaths and TR bands, while ensuring safe and effective patient management.
• Care for surgical patients, including those recovering from vascular, abdominal, and GI procedures.
• Administer intravenous medications and manage drips including diltiazem, amiodarone, Lasix, nitro, and heparin.
• Conduct dressing changes, manage wound vacs, and assist with chest tubes.
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required.
• Must have completed at least 1 travel assignment.
• Experience with patient types and care protocols as listed above.
• Certification in ACLS and BLS is required.
• Familiarity with EPIC electronic medical records is preferred.

Work Schedule

• Shifts available: 1900-0730 and 0700-1930.
• Weekend rotation is required every other week.

This is a non-profit community facility with a total of 226 beds and 11 ICU beds, providing a diverse range of services to the community.
