Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking experienced Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU). The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in patient care with specific expertise in neuro, cardiac, trauma, and respiratory conditions.

Unit Information

• Unit: IMCU
• Shift: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM (Block scheduling is not guaranteed)
• Floating: Required
• Scrub Color: Navy Blue
• Common Diagnoses: Neuro, Cardiac, Trauma, Respiratory (COPD, DKA, Sepsis, MI, CV stepdown, post-operative care)
• Specialty Equipment: Temp pacers, chest tubes, arterial lines, BiPAP, Neptune Vapo
• Ventilator Management: Chronic vents requiring assistance
• Patient Demographics: Ages 18 and older
• Number of Beds: 64 beds total, including 15 designated neuro beds

Qualifications

• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications
• NIHSS certification
• Active NY nursing license and verification through NURSYS
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in IMCU or PCU
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR), specifically EPIC
