Job Description:

This position involves working as a Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU), focusing on the care of patients with conditions such as heart failure, Afib, respiratory distress, and stroke. The RN will be responsible for titrating drips and reading/interpreting telemetry strips.

Responsibilities:

• Titrate medications such as Cardizem, amiodarone, and nitro
• Monitor and provide care for patients using CPAP equipment
• Read and interpret telemetry strips
• Work every other weekend and one major, one minor holiday
• Float to ICU as needed

Requirements:

• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Completion of open-book skills exam with a minimum of 90%
• Driver’s license required at submittal
• Prohibition on artificial nails in patient care areas
