Job Description:

The RN will provide professional nursing care in a PCU unit on the 4th Floor East Wing, managing patient care for a variety of adult patients with conditions such as CVA, TIA, and more. Candidates need to pass an open book exam with at least a 90% score during orientation.

Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality nursing care to a diverse patient population, including adults and occasionally older pediatric patients.
• Administer medications and treatments, including common drips such as PCA pumps and cardizem.
• Collaborate with additional unit support staff including educators, care managers, and dieticians to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Maintain accurate patient records using the EPIC charting system.
• Ensure compliance with department fingernail and other safety policies.

Requirements:

• Active RN license with required certifications in ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS.
• Competency in telemetry and operation of Alaris IV pumps.
• Minimum 50 miles residency radius from the facility, verified by a driver’s license.
• Navy blue scrubs required, with CNA support in ceil blue.
