Job Description:

The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide care for patients in the PCU with a focus on oncology and trauma cases. The unit is a mixed unit with a patient ratio of 1:4 for PCU and 1:5 for med/surg.

Responsibilities:

Provide nursing care to oncology and trauma patients in the PCU.
Administer and titrate medications such as insulin and cardizem as needed.
Float to med/surg and other PCU units as necessary.

Requirements:

1 year of experience in an oncology or PCU setting.
BLS and ACLS certifications required.
Chemo certification preferred but not required.
Comply with fingernail policy and other patient care protocols.
Must pass open book examination during orientation with a score of 90% or higher.
