Schedule

Positions available for 36 or 48-hour rotating shifts (Days/Eves/Nights), including weekends and holidays, as per unit needs.

Unit Information

This unit specializes in providing care for patients aged 18 and older who require intensive symptom management at the end of life. The team is dedicated to delivering compassionate care and effectively managing patients with complex needs and families in crisis. The unit also accommodates general medicine overflow.

Role Responsibilities

• Exhibit strong IV and wound care skills.
• Demonstrate compassion while managing patients’ complex needs.
• Utilize astute assessment skills to advocate for patients who may be unable to communicate their needs.
• Experience with patient-controlled analgesia pumps is highly desired.

Qualifications

• Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) License.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in palliative or acute medical/surgical care.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
• CHPN certification is highly desired.
