Location: Richmond, VA

Floor: First Floor

Building: Surgery Center

Unit Details

• Number of Beds: 19 in Main PACU, 4 in Atrium PACU
• Number of Staff: 13 Full-time
• Staff Types: RNs, Clinical Coordinator, Department Assistants
• Patient Ratios: 2:1, 1:1 for unstable ICU patients, 1:1 for pediatric patients
• Equipment: Ventilators, Phillips and GE monitors, Sigma spectrum pumps
• EMR: Meditech

Shift Information

• Day Shift Options: 8:00 AM, 9:00 AM, 11:00 AM, and 12:00 PM
• Night Shift: On-call after 9:30 PM

Qualifications

Required Skills

• Experience in PACU or ICU
• Strong neuro background
• Ventilator competency

Preferred Skills

• Experience in ICU or PACU
• Drip titration experience
• Neurosurgery exposure

Typical Procedures

• Setup of PCA pump
• Drip titration
• Arterial line blood draw

Dress Code

Scrub Color: Navy

Weekend On-call

On-call weekdays from 9:30 PM to 8:00 AM; weekend on-call from 7:00 AM to 7:00 AM, with call rotation among staff.

Experience Requirement

A minimum of 2 years of experience is required.
