Job Description:
The RN in the Pre/Post Op unit will prepare surgical patients for procedures and provide phase 2 recovery care. This role involves working collaboratively within the day surgery team.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare surgical patients for surgery
- Provide phase 2 recovery care
- Perform IV starts and administer moderate sedation
- Manage day surgery and pre-op holding areas
Requirements:
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
- Proficiency in IV starts and moderate sedation
- Experience with pre-op holding and phase 2 recovery
- Familiarity with cardiac monitors, ultrasound, EKG machine, and Meditech documentation system
