Job Title: Registered Nurse – Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)

City/State: Glenview, Illinois

Shift: Rotating start times between 8am-11am, PACU end time 8:30pm, 36 hours per week (9-hour shift)

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description:

The Registered Nurse in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) is responsible for providing care to patients recovering from anesthesia following surgery. The role involves monitoring patient recovery, administering medications and treatments, and supporting patients’ needs during the postoperative period.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor patients’ vital signs and anesthesia recovery
• Administer medications and post-operative treatments as prescribed
• Provide patient education and support during recovery
• Coordinate care with the healthcare team in the Main and CVI PACU settings

Requirements:

• 3+ years of solid acute care hospital experience
• Completion of at least one prior travel contract
• Submit with passed EKG test with 80% or higher
• Critical Care PACU experience in an acute care hospital setting
• Valid IL Nursing License
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
