Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a high level of expertise and a broad surgical knowledge base, particularly in areas such as joint, neuro, orthopedics, and vascular procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the operating room setting.
• Assist in surgical procedures as guided by established protocols and standards.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Administer medications and monitor patient vital signs during procedures.
• Maintain sterile techniques and assist with maintaining an organized operating room environment.
• Document patient care accurately in the electronic medical record system.

Qualifications

• Must possess a skill level of 3 or higher in relevant surgical specialties.
• Two years of experience in a similar role is preferred.
• Current RN license in the state of practice.
• Broad surgical knowledge, including experience in general, GYN, robotics, neuro, orthopedics, plastic surgery, urology, burn, and trauma service lines.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Scheduling and Unit Information

• Variable scheduling required with potential call obligations.
• Patient ratios are 1:1.
• Limited opportunities to float to other departments as needed.
