Job Description:

The Adult Cardiac OR cares for a wide variety of patients, including CABGs, TAVIs, and Heart Failure (VADs, ECMO, Artificial Heart and Heart Transplants). Using a multidisciplinary approach, the OR staff cares for patients of all ages.

Responsibilities:

• Independently scrub and circulate complex adult cardiac cases, including CABGs and structural heart cases (Bentall).
• Perform minimally invasive procedures (Mini Aortic Valve Replacement) and manage heart failure cases (Impella).
• Preference for experience with Transplant, TAVI/TAVR, though not required.

Requirements:

• RN License (NY License ONLY)
• Two (2) years of experience
• Operating room experience in a level 1 trauma – preferred
• Able to circulate and scrub
• Telemetry
• BLS (American Heart Association ONLY)
• ACLS (American Heart Association ONLY)
