Job Description:

Seeking an experienced Operating Room Nurse (RN) to support preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative patient care. Nurses will supervise a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) working towards certification. Low-volume facility with typical 40-hour week and shared after-hours call duty.

Responsibilities:

• Preoperative Nursing – Prepare patients for surgery including history and physical assessment, vital signs assessment, IV starts, and administration of preoperative medications.
• Postoperative Nursing – Monitor patients’ vital signs and level of sedation; provide necessary treatments such as oxygen and blood pressure support.
• Circulating – Assist surgeons during general, orthopedic, cataract surgeries, C-sections, and trauma cases.
• Charting – Utilize Cerner for patient documentation.

Requirements:

• Experience in Pre-Op, Intra-Op, and Post-Op care.
• Current ACLS, BLS, PALS certifications.
• Preferred scrub experience, though not required.
