Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. This position will provide critical nursing care in the operating room environment, ensuring patient safety and comfort during surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain the operating room for surgical procedures.
• Participate in the care and education of patients undergoing surgery.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Monitor and assess patient vital signs and conditions during surgery.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and infection control standards.

Work Schedule

This position will require a commitment to a 3×12 hour day shift schedule, typically from 0630 to 1900. Additional call shifts may be required, with 4-5 weekday and 2-3 weekend call shifts expected each month.

Qualifications

• Current BLS certification is required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an operating room setting.
• Experience with robotics, general surgery, gynecology, and urology is necessary.
• Circulating experience is required.

Working Conditions

Scrubs will be provided. The position requires flexibility and the ability to respond quickly to call situations. Experience with Cerner electronic medical records system is a plus.
