Job Overview

This position involves working as an Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) in a fast-paced surgical environment. The role focuses on providing high-quality patient care during surgical procedures and ensuring the maintenance of a sterile environment.

Shift Details

• Shift: Nights
• Length: 12 hours
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as an OR RN
• Required Certifications: BLS Certification
• Robotics experience is a must
• Level I Trauma experience required
• Must be within a 50-mile radius for travel purposes

Unit Information

• Unit Type: General OR
• Number of Operating Rooms: 9 Regular, 1 Trauma, 1 Urgent
• Average Cases per Day: 30
• Electronic Medical Records (EMR): Cerner and Surginet
• Weekend Requirement: Rotate with staff, one on-call weekend monthly

Responsibilities

• Circulate and scrub for surgical procedures, including various specialties such as general, ortho, robotics, plastics, trauma, ENT, spine, urology, gynecology, and neonatology.
• Ensure all nurses are competent in maintaining a sterile field during procedures.
• Participate in educational training for lifts, restraints, and wound care.

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are welcome.
• Orientation will last one week to familiarize with unit-specific protocols.
• Floating to related units may be required based on skills.
