Job Description:

This position assumes responsibility and accountability for providing nursing care for patients and their families. Assure expert, compassionate, individualized nursing care for patients and families is expected.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with providers, staff, and other team members to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
• Oversee the daily patient flow to optimize patient care, safety, and satisfaction.
• Demonstrate ability to triage incoming patient requests for services.
• Deliver patient education to facilitate plan of care and promote optimal wellness.
• Delegate care appropriately according to Colorado statute.
• Demonstrate competent healthcare assessment skills, prioritizing skills, and critical thinking skills.
• Handle high telephone volume of patient requests for medications, information, and assistance.
• Administer medications, perform treatments, and assist in procedures as needed while adhering to patient safety guidelines.
• Coordinate patient care with other physician practices and organizations as needed to achieve the highest level of patient care and satisfaction.
• Work independently with minimal supervision.
• Deliver excellent service by advocating for safety, patient preferences, and optimal communication.
• Role model principles of a Just Culture and Organizational Values.
• Must be HIPAA compliant.

Requirements:

• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Colorado or from a valid compact state required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required.
