Job Description:

The RN (Registered Nurse) in Oncology will work primarily in the Medsurg/Onc department, attending to adult and geriatric patients with a range of conditions including strokes, hypertension, COPD, cellulitis, CHF, and more. The core staff will perform chemotherapy, although there is no in-house oncology provider currently.

Responsibilities:

• Administer chemotherapy as part of the core staff for oncology.
• Titrate drips such as Lasix and Heparin.
• Troubleshoot RT equipment, focusing on BiPAP stability and established trach care.
• Float to other MedSurg units as necessary.
• Participate in a supportive, family-oriented unit culture.

Requirements:

• BLS Certification
• NIHSS Certification
• Experience with BiPAP and trach care preferred but not required
• Willingness to float to other units as needed
