OB Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

An opportunity is available for an experienced OB Registered Nurse to join a dynamic healthcare team. This position requires a strong background in obstetrics and the ability to provide excellent patient care during labor and delivery.

Shift Details

• Full-time position for days
• Shift times: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• 36 hours per week
• Duration: 8 weeks
• Holiday coverage required

Certifications Required

• AHA BLS
• ACLS
• NRP
• Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in the delivery room, including receiving newborns.
• Monitor fetal heart rates and make assessments as needed.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure the best outcomes for patients and their families.
• If census is low, the healthcare provider may be floated to MedSurg.

Qualifications

• Must have delivery room experience.
• Previous MedSurg experience is required, as nurses may take patients on occasion.
• Familiarity with Cerner EMR is preferred.

Work Environment

The OB unit operates on a routine schedule without on-call responsibilities for the nursing staff.
