Job Description:

The Clinical Decision Unit is a fast-paced environment focused on ED decompression and enhanced throughput. The primary goal is to manage admitted patients from the ED, complete Admission Assessments, Medication Reconciliation, and initiate acute care orders to reduce the length of stay and enhance the patient/family experience.

Responsibilities:

• Admit patients from the ED and complete required assessments.
• Manage Medication Reconciliation and initiate acute care orders.
• Ensure patient safety and care as a primary objective.
• Collaborate effectively as part of a team in this fast-paced unit.
• May float to other units within the skill set as needed.

Requirements:

• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent MedSurg, Telemetry, and Step-Down experience preferred.
• Positive attitude and focus on teamwork necessary.
• Charge Nurse experience or willingness to consider appreciated.
