Registered Nurse (RN) – Nursery

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the nursery is responsible for providing care to newborn patients during the immediate neonatal phase. This role requires utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and institutional policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Demonstrate critical thinking skills and scientific judgment in the planning and delivery of safe patient care.
• Maintain clinical competencies through ongoing education and training.
• Delegate patient care priorities based on the education and experience of available staff.
• Provide direction and supervision of assigned personnel involved in patient care delivery.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in a nursery setting.
• Current licensure to practice nursing in Alabama.
• Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NRP.
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility.
• No NURSYS hits.

Shift Information

This position requires shifts from 7 AM to 7 PM.
