Registered Nurse (RN) – NICU

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) team. This role involves providing specialized care to critically ill newborns and supporting their families during challenging times.

Rapides, LA

Work Schedule

This position requires a commitment to night shifts, specifically from 7 PM to 7 AM.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to premature and critically ill neonates.
• Monitor and assess patients’ conditions, recognizing and responding to changes in their health status.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Educate and support families, providing them with the necessary resources and information.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of Louisiana.
• A minimum of one year of experience in a NICU setting.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
