NICU Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Description

Join a dynamic and supportive team in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). This role involves the care and management of critically ill newborns, requiring advanced nursing skills and specialized knowledge in neonatal care.

Unit Specifics

• Number of Beds: 60
• Patient Ratios: 2-3:1
• Unit Staffing: No techs available in NICU
• Type of Equipment: Philips Monitors
• Documentation System: Meditech & Centricity Perinatal

Scheduling and Policies

• Shift Requirements: 3 twelve-hour shifts per week with rotating weekends and holiday obligations.
• Floating Policy: Float to comparable areas of high need.

Qualifications

• Experience: A minimum of 2 years of NICU experience is required.
• Certifications Required:
  • Nursing License
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
  • STABLE (Sugar and Temperature, Airway, Blood pressure, Lab work, Emotional support)

Dress Code

Scrubs in navy or ceil blue, any shade of grey, or white are required. Long sleeves, watches, rings, or nail polish of any kind are not permitted.
