NICU Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

This is a full-time position requiring a dedicated Registered Nurse specialized in Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) nursing. The role involves working three 12-hour shifts per week, including a weekend requirement of five shifts within a six-week schedule. Candidates must be willing to float to various units throughout the hospital as necessary.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural, and discharge planning needs.
• Review patient history and physical examination with patients and families, ensuring timely completion of documentation.
• Analyze diagnostic and laboratory data, reporting abnormal results to physicians and appropriate caregivers.
• Conduct assessments and reassessments in accordance with patient needs and established policies.
• Develop patient care plans, including discharge plans, based on assessment data and input from patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Set realistic and measurable goals for patients in collaboration with patients and families.
• Consider the diverse needs of patients—including physical, cultural, psychosocial, spiritual, age-specific, and educational aspects—in care planning.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team in the planning and delivery of care.

Qualifications

• Must have at least one year of professional nursing experience in a NICU or related unit.
• Current and valid nursing license.
