Scheduling Requirements

• 36 hours/week with occasional optional overtime
• Variable weekends
• Willingness to take standby/call if low census preferred

Floating Policy

Floating to mother-baby as a tech is not required but may occur if desired (occasional need only).

Patient Experience Requirements

Level III or IV NICU experience is required.

Certifications Required

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
• STABLE (Sugar and Safe Airway Breathing) Certification

Hiring Profile

• Requested Skill Set: Level III or IV NICU skill set required.
• Minimum Experience: One year of NICU nursing experience is essential.
• Advanced Skills Needed: Not applicable.
• Procedures Performed on Unit:
  • PIV insertion
  • Feeding tube insertion
  • Lab draws
  • Straight catheterization
  • Central line management
  • Airway/respiratory management (in conjunction with RRT)
  • Assisting RRT/provider with intubation, surfactant administration, central line placement, chest tube placement, etc.

Dress Code

Required uniform colors: Black, grey, or hot pink scrubs.
