NICU Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated NICU Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic team. This role involves providing specialized care to infants in a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) with a focus on delivering exceptional nursing care.

Unit Information

The NICU unit consists of:

• Number of Beds: 51
• Number of Staff: 120
• Patient Ratios: 1:1, 1:2, 1:3, 1:4
• Type of Electronic Medical Record (EMR) System: Cerner

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• Required: A minimum of 2 years of Level III or higher NICU experience.
• Required Certifications: NRP certification is mandatory. STABLE and NIC-RNC certifications are preferred.

Duties and Responsibilities

The NICU RN will be responsible for:

• Providing high-quality nursing care to critically ill newborns.
• Administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Monitoring and assessing patient conditions, responding promptly to changes.
• Educating families regarding care and treatment plans.
• Floating to Pediatric, PICU, and Mother/Baby units when required.

Work Schedule

This position requires a commitment to work every other weekend.
