Registered Nurse (RN) – Neuro ICU

Position Overview

The Neuro ICU Registered Nurse is responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients with neurological conditions. The role requires a comprehensive understanding of neurocritical care principles and the ability to monitor, assess, and implement effective care strategies for critically ill patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform thorough assessments and ongoing monitoring of patients in the Neuro Intensive Care Unit.
• Administer medications and treatments as per established protocols and physician orders.
• Support and educate patients and their families regarding neurological conditions and care plans.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Document patient care activities and maintain accurate health records.
• Utilize advanced technology and equipment specific to neurological care.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based practice activities.

Qualifications

• Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a Neuro ICU or similar critical care environment.
• Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• CPI certification preferred upon hire or must obtain within a specified timeframe.

Work Schedule

This position typically involves a 7A to 7P shift, providing ample opportunities for a balanced work-life schedule.
