Registered Nurse (RN) – Mother Baby

Job Description

The Registered Nurse works in a collaborative and cooperative relationship with other members of the healthcare team, plans and implements patient and family education, and is responsible for assessing the needs and initiating appropriate interventions for patients.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Current Montana Licensure (Registered Nurse)
  • American Heart Association BLS certification
  • STABLE certification
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program Certification (recertification required every 2 years)
  • Competence in and a willingness and ability to practice modified primary nursing

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in Labor & Delivery (antepartum, intrapartum, preop, circulate, PACU) preferred

Essential Job Functions

  • Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient’s health or the situation (Assessment).
  • Analyze assessment data to determine diagnoses or issues (Diagnosis).
  • Identify expected outcomes for a plan individualized to the patient or the situation.
  • Develop a plan that prescribes strategies and alternatives to attain expected outcomes (Plan of Care).
  • Implement the identified plan of care.
  • Employ strategies to promote health and a safe environment.
  • Systematically enhance the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice.
  • Attain knowledge and competency that reflects current nursing practice.
  • Evaluate one’s own nursing practice in relation to professional practice standards and guidelines, relevant statutes, rules, and regulations.
  • Interact with and contribute to the professional development of peers and colleagues.
  • Collaborate with patients, families, and others in the conduct of nursing practice.
  • Integrate ethical provisions in all areas of practice.
  • Integrate research findings into practice.
  • Provide leadership in the professional practice setting and within the profession.

Schedule Requirements

This role requires regular and sustained attendance. The position may necessitate working beyond a standard 40-hour workweek, including weekends and after-hours shifts. Availability for holiday coverage is required.
