Job Description:

The Registered Nurse in the Med/Tele unit is responsible for patient care and assessment, focusing on a range of neurological and medical conditions. The role emphasizes critical thinking and adherence to sterile techniques during procedures and patient handling.

Responsibilities:

• Administer medications and monitor patient conditions
• Perform essential nursing procedures such as Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes
• Ensure comprehensive documentation using the Cerner charting system
• Participate in the SIMs Lab and other educational sessions

Requirements:

• Current ACLS and BLS certifications
• Minimum 2 years experience in Med/Surg Tele
• BLS, ACLS certifications required; BSN preferred
• Must pass dysrhythmia exam; applicants have two attempts
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills; ability to detect small changes in patient conditions
