Registered Nurse – MedSurg / Telemetry

Position Overview

The Registered Nurse in the MedSurg/Telemetry unit is responsible for providing high-quality care to patients in a fast-paced admission environment. This unit specializes in general medical patients as well as surgical patients awaiting procedures. The Registered Nurse will have the opportunity to work independently while maintaining clear communication with the healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients in a 10-bed unit.
• Manage patient admissions and assess the needs of general medical and surgical patients.
• Work effectively in a rapid turnover environment with a patient ratio of 5:1.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation and adhere to best practices in patient care.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in MedSurg/Telemetry nursing.
• Current BLS and ACLS certification required.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and work independently.
• Comprehensive work history with no gaps greater than 60 days.
• Submission of a skills checklist and references is required.
• Valid nursing license verification through Nursys.
