Registered Nurse – MedSurg / Telemetry

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our MedSurg / Telemetry team. This role involves working in a dynamic admission unit focused on providing care to general medical patients and surgical patients awaiting procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to medical and surgical patients.
• Manage a rapid turnover of patients in a fast-paced environment.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Work independently within a 10-bed unit, maintaining a patient ratio of 5:1.
• Utilize critical thinking and nursing skills to assess patient needs and respond accordingly.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the MedSurg / Telemetry specialty.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work autonomously.
• Prepared to load all demographic information, including a badge-appropriate photo, into the profile.
• Provide a work history/resume with no gaps greater than 60 days.
• Complete a skills checklist and provide references.
• Nursys license verification is mandatory.
