Registered Nurse – MedSurg / Telemetry

Position Overview

The Registered Nurse in the MedSurg / Telemetry unit is responsible for providing high-quality care to patients admitted to a dynamic, fast-paced environment. This unit accommodates general medical and surgical patients who are awaiting surgery, ensuring timely and efficient admissions.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care in a MedSurg / Telemetry setting, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and members of the healthcare team to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Manage a patient load with a ratio of 5:1, demonstrating the ability to prioritize and adjust based on patient needs.
• Perform necessary clinical procedures and interventions in accordance with established standards.
• Assist in the rapid admission process of patients, maintaining efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in MedSurg / Telemetry specialty.
• Current BLS and ACLS certification is required.
• Proficiency in clinical skills and ability to work independently.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with diverse patient populations and healthcare providers.
• Work history with no gaps greater than 60 days, along with a comprehensive skills checklist, references, and Nursys license verification.

Work Environment

The MedSurg / Telemetry unit consists of a 10-bed capacity designed to accommodate rapid patient turnover while maintaining a focus on high-quality care standards.
